A long, long time ago there was a young boy named Huang-xiang. He lived happily with his mother and father. But sadly, when Huang-xiang was just nine years old, his mother 1)suddenly 2)passed away.

Huang-xiang and his father were terribly 1)saddened. To grieve their 3)loss, they built a grass 4)hut near their mother’s 5)grave. They lived there in mourning for three years.
