這是一種委婉的表現法，當你不方便明說時，就可以先說這句，讓人知道其實你保留了大部份的意見，而且是負面、否定的意見。
A:Do you like the cake I made?
你喜歡我做的蛋糕嗎？
B:Um, let's just say it's not bad.
呃，我們就當作還不錯吃吧。
