[Tricia takes her American friend Steve to eat seafood. Before they eat, they choose their dishes.]
Steve: Wow, everything is still 1)alive!
Tricia: That’s right. We like to see our seafood swimming before we eat it.
Steve: That’s a good way to know it’s fresh!
Tricia: Bingo! Say, do you like oysters?
Steve: Yes, but not 2)raw.
Tricia: [Orders fried oysters] How about fried noodles?
Steve: Sounds great! What are those?
Tricia: Those are sea urchins. We’ll 3)pass on those.
Steve: Good idea.
翠西雅帶美國朋友史蒂夫去吃海鮮，在用餐前點菜。

翠西雅：對啊，我們把海鮮吃下肚前，喜歡看到它們游來游去。

fresh、alive、raw比一比
fresh是「新鮮的」、alive是「活生生的」、raw是「生的，沒煮過的」。活的(alive)東西一定是沒煮過的(raw)，也保證新鮮(fresh)；但raw的東西不一定新鮮，fresh的東西不一定是活的，大家可別搞混囉。
