Sally: Nice to meet you Tony. My husband and I wanted to 3)invite you to a meet-the-neighbors party at our house on Sunday.
Tony: Sunday? I’ll be out of town. Maybe my wife Patricia can go. I don’t know where she is though.
Sally: Oh, I see.
Tony: You’ll have to ask her yourself.
Sally: Here. These are some cookies I made for you and Patricia.
Tony: Eh? Thanks.
Sally: You’re welcome.
Tony: Oh, um. I’ll tell Patricia about your party. She likes those things, anyway.
Sally: Great. It’s Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Tell her there’s no need to bring anything.
Tony: OK, got it.
Sally: Well, nice meeting you, Tony. See you around.
Tony: Yep. [Sally starts to leave] Oh, and thanks for the cookies.
