Take the A Train 紐約地鐵初體驗-2
Ken: Yuck, it smells like a 1) cave down here.
Kim: Some stations smell more like toilets. 2) Consider yourself lucky.
Ken: These 3) signs say Uptown and Downtown. Are those 4) destinations ?
Kim: No, those are the directions the trains run.
Ken: That one says Express. What's that?
Kim: The express trains 5) skip over many of the stops, so they're faster.
Ken: [Pointing to a map] There are lots of different colors on the map.
Kim: Each 6) route has a different color. And each of the trains is marked with a color.
Ken: But the platforms aren't marked?
Kim: That's right. Because many different trains share the same 7) platforms . So you have to pay attention to the symbols on the trains.
肯：好噁，這地鐵站聞起來像洞穴。
金：有的車站聞起來還像廁所咧。你該感到慶幸囉。
肯：這招牌上寫著「上城」與「下城」。這是目的地嗎？
金：不是，那是車子開的方向。
肯：那一台車上寫著「快捷」。那是什麼？
金：快捷車會略過許多站不停，所以比較快。
肯：（指著地圖）地圖上有好多不同顏色喔。
金：每一條路線都有不同的顏色。每一台車廂上也都有一種顏色。
肯：可是月台卻沒有註名顏色？
金：沒錯，因為很多不同火車都共用同一個月台，所以你必須看清楚車廂上的標示。
